My munchkin experience

Well, today is 2nd lesson. I enjoy it alot...we get to play the game Munckin. At first, I am really confuse when playing this game...slowly after that I find it quite fun. When the lesson ends, I don't wish to go home and I still want to play. I am thinking is the game like magic cards? Well, I have not play magic cards before.

During my lecture, I heard that Munckin is a total different game that make fun of other games. Munckin is like our Singapore "Kiasu" afraid to lose guy and would want to have the most powerful weapons and eveything to win the game. I find it interesting as the game let the players to be either elf, human like warrior, theft, cleric and many more. Each player get 1 level up after killing one monster. Whoever reach level 10 wins the game. In this game, there is no friends...Ha...Well, players can backstab, steal level from other players, grab their treasure, sobatage them. Other day to kills monsters abd grab magic.

There are 2 decks of cards. 1 for open door for the monsters and the other deck for treasure. First, everyone will have 4 cards and start at level 1. Player picks a card from the door. If there is a monster, see whether can fight it. If the level of the monster is higher, other players can help. After the other players help, the treasure can share. If share equally, we can be friends. After the monster is killed. The player draws the number of cards according to the treasure shown on the monster card at the treasure deck. eg. Player 1 helped Player 2. The treasures is 4. Player 1 get 2 treasures as they share. Player 2 get 4 treasures. Player 1 who helped to kills the monster get 1 level up. Sometimes, other players can throw another monster cards to add the level of the monster to sobatage that player fighting the monster. If the player dies, he will lose all cards except the class and race cards. He will be alive after the next player. He just takes 2 from door deck and 2 from treasure deck. Player can row the dice if they do not have the power to fight the monster, to run away if the dice is more than 4. If player has more than 5 cards besides the race and class cards, he has the discard or give it to other player who is the lowest level.

I was kind of addicted to the game when we have to leave at 9.30pm yesterday. I still want to play. Hmm...well I feel I like the time player games with people. Laughing and discuss how to play this game... I will tell my section head from games design & development to buy this game.

I enjoy the lesson alot yesterday as its not the normal classroom lesson. Lecturers are different. Crakes funny jokes. He ask why you want to the superhero and ask us to recreate our own.

Well, we get to add on our own expansion cards and we can play the game the next week, hahaha...
